Sinus Infection

Last Saturday (Oct 21st), we have noticed that Ethan's left eye was so watery and he kept rubbing it (probably was so itchy). Initially we thought that probably because of his cold, he had on-and-off runny nose and coughs. Later that evening, we noticed that his eye was so puffy. We brought him to a walk-in clinic and a paediatrician's diagnosis was that Ethan may have a sore throat. He gave him an antibiotic - Amoxicillin.
That night we gave him first dose and by mid-night, he had a high fever that reached 102.1 F. When we woke up in the morning (Oct 22nd) we found out that his left eye was swollen. We brought him to ER and the attending M.D. told us we needed to allow at least 48 hours for the antibiotic to kick-in.
By dinner time, we noticed that the swollen was worsen and we brought him back to ER. We waited for at least 3 hours before we can see a attending paediatrician, and she ordered couple tests including blood work, urine and X-ray. We have also noticed that there were rashes all over Ethan's body. The doctor said the swollen and rashes may be caused by his allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin. However, she wants to run some tests to confirm her diagnosis.
Since Ethan was born in this hospital and his paediatrician works there, his case was transferred to her. Her diagnosis was that the swollen in Ethan's eye was caused by some sort of sinus infection (sinusitis 竇炎) and his rashes was caused by his allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. She ordered him another antibiotic Cefazolin, which is Amoxicillin-resistant sinusitis (treatment); and Benadryl for his cold and rashes. Need at least 48 to 72 hours for the Cefazolin starts to work.
And waits for God's miracle Hands to work.
